Our Mission
Made On Country is dedicated to empowering and training local First Nations people within the Australian fashion manufacturing industry. We aim to break cycles of employment disadvantage by fostering culturally safe work environments. Our mission is to create pathways for generational wealth and social justice, addressing the unique challenges faced by First Nations individuals, including balancing kinship commitments with employment.
We collaborate with First Nations artists and designers to transform their creative visions into quality, market-ready products, ensuring that they receive the necessary industry exposure and experience. With a focus on mentoring and personalized support, we provide all aspects of the manufacturing process—from sampling to production—while prioritizing sustainability over overseas sourcing.
Ultimately, Made On Country is community-minded and driven by the core values of social impact and self-determination, with aspirations to offer scholarship grants and sponsorship opportunities that enhance the lives of First Nations people in their career and sporting pursuits
